Privacy Policy
Last updated 19 October 2026.
This policy explains how the operator of Prospect Radar, an individual in India (not a company, LLP, partnership or other registered business) ("we") handles personal data in Prospect Radar, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act 2000.
1. Our customers and their users
- What we collect: name, work email, password (stored only as a one-way hash), organization details, your ideal customer settings, your searches, the records you enrich and reveal, payments (amount, status, the Cashfree or UPI reference and the payer name you give; we never see card details or bank passwords), sign-in records, device and IP address.
- Why: to provide the service, bill the subscription, prevent misuse and keep it secure. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- Your organization's admins see what you searched, viewed, enriched and revealed, and when you were last active.
- Emails: we send sign-in codes, invitations, trial and subscription notices and receipts. Product news only if you opt in.
2. People and businesses in our database
- What we hold: company records from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (company name, CIN, status, registered address, capital, incorporation date) and business information published on the company's own website, such as products, office email addresses and phone numbers, and its social media pages.
- People: names and roles of directors, founders, partners and managers as published on the company's website, in public search results (for example a public LinkedIn profile page's title) or on Wikidata; links to their public profiles; and a work email or phone number only where it was published next to their name. We never fetch LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram pages themselves, never log in to them, and never collect numbers, addresses or profiles that the person or their business didn't publish.
- Basis: the DPDP Act doesn't apply to personal data that a person, or someone obliged by law, has made publicly available. We keep only business contact details and honour removal requests regardless.
- What we don't collect: numbers or profiles nobody published, home addresses, private social media content, data from sites whose terms forbid it, or bought lists.
- Removal: anyone can ask us to remove or correct their record, their name or a profile link (see Data Sources and Removal). We act within 7 days and stop it coming back.
